My Grandma, Isabella Lindsay, was a wonderful cook who perfected a recipe for the shortbread we grew up on, so when she perched my twin sister and me on stools, aged 4, to show us how she made it, I, rather unusually, listened intently!

That day in Stirling has stayed with me and over the years I have extended the recipe to include chocolate chip, vegan, vegan chocolate chip and reduced sugar varieties, we have now decided to offer shortbread to everyone!

Our Squares brand is based on the shape of the shortbread – we are making shortbread by hand and square shapes make for an even bake with minimal packaging.  

Why is it guilt-free?

• We use fully compostable cellulose film and packaging and all natural ingredients – our kitchen looks out over the beautiful Sussex Downs and we want them to stay that way
• Our electricity is generated from fully renewable sources, including Sussex’s offshore windfarm
• We use certified organic ingredients wherever possible and no palm oil ever
• Vegan varieties use only vegan certified ingredients
• Every square is under 100 calories so you can enjoy them guilt free!
